Dicalcium phosphate is a source of calcium and phosphorus, which are minerals that promote healthy teeth and bones. Calcium is necessary for blood clotting, muscle function, and transmitting nerve impulses. Phosphorus is needed for energy production and the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and protein. Calcium and phosphorus also help maintain the proper pH level of the blood.
